Nicolas Brusson is co-founder and COO of BlaBlaCar, the European car sharing community that connects drivers with empty seats and people looking for a ride. With over 3 million members across Europe, BlaBlaCar now transports upwards of 500,000 passengers a month. Nicolas's mission is to create an entirely new, pan-European transport network, bringing efficiency to road transport, and making it affordable, social and sustainable.
For Nicolas, travel is not just an industry, it's a lifestyle. He works from any one of the five BlaBlaCar local offices: Milan, London, Madrid and Warsaw, or the headquarters in Paris. On weekends he's in Brussels, with his family.
Nicolas started his career working for start-ups in Silicon Valley during the 2000 boom, moved on to executive and investor roles, and finally worked as a VC in London. Nicolas holds an MBA from INSEAD, an MSc in Optics from the Ecole Superieure d’Optique and an MSc in Applied Physics from Paris XI University. A regular speaker on the theme of scaling innovative businesses and transport industry disruption, he tweets @nbrusson.
